Your underwater adventure begins!  The NAUI SCUBA Diver course Scuba Diver is our entry level scuba certification course during which you will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills to safely scuba dive in open water to a depth of 18m. The course involves tuition in 3 main areas - Knowledge Development, Confined Water Training and Open Water Evaluation Dives.

Knowledge Development
The theory element of the course is completed with the help of a course manual.  This is designed to allow you to study at home at your convenience to prepare for the pool sessions and final exam.  The theory will be reviewed with your Instructor providing you opportunity to ask any further questions you may have.

Confined Water Training
This generally takes 5 – 8 pool sessions depending on ability and is held at various locations (see Pool Sessions).  The number of pool sessions required is dependant on many factors but rest assured we will not allow you to progress to the Open Water Dives before we are confident you are fully prepared.

At Lodge Scuba our focus is on providing quality training at affordable prices to fit in with busy lifestyles.  The Confined water dives can be conducted at any of the Pool Sessions listed on a timetable to suit you.  Although we recommend you attend regular sessions this is not necessary and you will be allowed to learn at your own pace without pressure of time. In addition to the ongoing courses at the times stated on Pool Sessions, we offer regular weekend courses.  See the Diary Dates for the next course.

Open Water Evaluation Dives
To receive your NAUI SCUBA Diver Qualification you will need to complete 5 Open Water dives over two days in which you will be required to demonstrate your newly learnt diving skills!  Having made these dives successfully, you will have earned the one of the world’s most respected diving qualifications.

You can complete these dives with us either in the UK or on one our numerous holidays abroad.  We run regular weekend diving trips to inland dive sites for qualifying dives but are also able to offer mid week dates by prior arrangement.

What do I need to start?
• You need to be of good health with a reasonable level of fitness.
• You need to be at least 12 years of age.
• You need to feel comfortable in the water.

Not Included
Entry fee & transport to dive sites. (however we will assist where possible)
