Unlike many clubs we offer the opportunity to come diving without the need for you to be
on a course.
At Lodge Scuba we welcome anyone of any qualification and from any agency to come
along to one of our pool sessions to have a bubble. Our club nights are held every Tuesday
at Crystal Palace Sports Centre and every Thursday at South Norwood Leisure Centre from 8pm - 10pm.
Click here for all pool sessions and directions on how to get there.
Our club night sessions are £6 for members and £10 for non members.
We supply all the equipment so all you need to bring with you is your
swimwear and an old t-shirt that you don't mind getting wet. However, if
you have your own
diving equipment you are more than welcome to
bring it along with you.

During the pool sessions divers have the choice of doing their own thing or
joining in on one of our self rescue sessions.
Self rescue sessions
The self rescue sessions involve:
• Ditch and don
• Blacked out masks to simulate poor visibility
• Negative entry
• Rescue scenarios
If you are learning these skills for the first time they aim to give you a greater understanding and confidence in performing
self rescue. On the other hand if you are already a qualified rescue diver these sessions are perfect for revisiting those
much needed skills.
Achieving perfect buoyancy
As the diagram shows the aim is to keep perfect buoyancy so that unintentional movement up or down is minimised. This takes practice to master.
Pool sessions are perfect for helping you to achieve peak performance buoyancy. At Lodge Scuba we offer a buoyancy clinic which is included in the price of pool entry. During this one of our instructors will ensure that you are properly weighted and take you through an underwater obstacle course!
