We cleared lots of plastics and other bits and pieces from underwater as well as from the beach. We were all shocked at the amount of small plastics (cable ties and pieces of fishing nets!!!) on the beach. This clean up work is really important as it contributes to the international marine conservation and the data recorded from these days is used by various organisations globally. So a HUGE thank you for everyone involved.

The day itself was organised by Foundation for Endangered Species (http://www.ffes.org.uk/) who are monitoring the Rottingdean Beach as part of the Marine Conservation Society's Adopt-a-Beach campaign (http://www.adoptabeach.org.uk/).
